Bear-Loc® uses a positive locking approach to instantly lock automatically when hydraulic pressure is removed, whether intentionally or accidentally. No backlash or unplanned movement, which means reliably high performance. Bear-Loc® can hold the load indefinitely without drift. When hydraulic pressure is applied, the rod moves freely--which also means little or no wear. Unlike conventional systems, Bear-Loc® serves as a primary and reliable hydraulic failsafe locking/load-holding solution. Expect many years of dependable performance with Bear-Loc.®

Off-the-shelf traditional locking systems have restrictions, such as limited load capacity, unplanned movement, limited positioning, undefined quality and reliability, and fewer connection options, to name just a few limitations.

In contrast, Bear-Loc® uses a patented design featuring an interference fit; the rod is larger than the sleeve. Bear-Loc® features infinite locking capability, it can engage at any point along the rod and stroke. Fewer contact points and components create lasting durability when used according to manufacturer instructions. Plus, Bear-Loc® can handle loads up to 4 million pounds, operating pressure ranges up to 5,000 psi, and rod sizes up to 27 inches in diameter.
